How long does it take to build a house? When bricklaying a house, the build can take between 1.5 and 2 years. This type of building is often used in Europe. How long does it take to Build a House in South Carolina Using The Usual Methods?
Building with Bricks
When building a house brick-by-brick, the bricklaying can take up a whole lot of time. Especially if unforeseen circumstances arise. In Europe a lot of houses are built in this way, which has its benefits, but time is not one of them.
Besides the long duration of building the house, everybody knows that thee initial estimate of the construction period usually doesn’t work out. Just think of weather that is too hot or too cold, people who fall sick, rising costs of materials, heavy rainfall, etc. These unforseen circumstances always influence how fast you can build a house in South Carolina (and the rest of the world).
When the shell construction work is finished, all other work such as insulation, installing windows and doors follow. Then the cutting and grinding in the bricks for installing the piping. And finally, the finishing touches can be done. The most unfortunate thing about all of this? When one thing is delayed, the rest are automaticly delayed too. And the chance of this happening is unfortunately very high.
For the above reasons, every (smart) traditional construction company will include two clauses in its contract. The first one about the construction work running late and the second one about the increase in prices. At Quackels we don’t need this as we don’t experience the usual delays.

At first glance, the construction process is very quick. Especially compared tot bricklaying. And it is. For most houses you can expect a build time of 8 tot 12 months.
Unfortunately, these construction methods also face the same problems as classic construction methods. Here, the construction of the house goes very quickly. A steel/wooden frame is built very quickly, but the windows, doors, insulation also take a lot of time. Is the weather not optimal? Then the entire structure gets wet or you can expect significant delays.

How long does it take to Build a Modular House
Modular construction or modular construction is progressing quite quickly. You can have a complete house built in a few months to half a year. But of course there are also disadvantages. Module home builders work with modules and the adaptability is not great. Moreover, they are still not as fast as Quackels.. About 60 years ago, Quackels was also a modular builder.
